[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] KakaoBank announced on Tuesday that it has recommended CEO Yoon Ho-young as the next CEO candidate.
According to the public filing, KakaoBank’s Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee finalized Yoon as the next CEO for a two-year term on February 28.
The company plans to complete the formal appointment process for Yoon at the shareholder meeting scheduled for March 26, with his current term set to expire on February 28.
Yoon graduated from Shinsung High School in Anyang and the Department of Business Administration at Hanyang University. He has previously held roles at Daehan Fire & Marine Insurance, including Head of Strategic Planning, and at Ergo Daum Direct as Head of Business Planning, as well as managing business support at Daum.
Yoon also served as the Vice President of the Kakao Mobile Banking Task Force, leading the establishment of KakaoBank. He has been re-elected for four consecutive terms since 2016 and continues to serve in his current position.
