[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul – Korean Air announced on September 7 that it will suspend its economy-class 3-4-3 seat reconfiguration project on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, citing its commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction.
The airline had originally invested KRW 300 billion in cabin environment improvements, but decided to halt the economy-class seat reconfiguration plan following mixed consumer feedback. Instead, the company will continue to proceed with the planned premium economy seat upgrades, while incorporating diverse customer opinions throughout the process.
A Korean Air official stated: “Since further consultations and reviews with the seat manufacturer will require considerable time, details regarding future plans will be announced at a later date.”
