KakaoTalk's PC and mobile versions of the service experienced an outage for approximately 6 minutes.

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] According to the IT industry on the 20th, KakaoTalk experienced an outage for about 6 minutes, starting around 2:53 p.m., during which message transmission was not possible. Around 6 minutes later, at around 2:58 p.m., the backlog of messages was sent all at once, and the service returned to normal.

This interruption in KakaoTalk service occurred just a week after a similar incident on the 13th, when there was a 6-minute disruption in message sending and receiving, as well as PC logins, from 1:44 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.

A Kakao representative explained, "We are investigating the cause and scope of the error."
