[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] A former researcher at KT & G filed a lawsuit against the company for trillions of won in compensation, claiming that it did not receive due compensation even after developing the world's first internal heating e-cigarette.

Jaeyu, a legal representative of Kwak Dae-geun, a former researcher at KT & G, said on the 24th that it has filed a lawsuit with the Daejeon District Court for compensation for work invention calculated at 2.8 trillion won.

The size of this case is said to be the largest single case in history, except for class and class action suits.

Former researcher Kwak claims that he did not receive fair compensation even though he contributed to huge sales in domestic and overseas markets by inventing the world's first internal heated e-cigarette between 2005 and 2007.

Recognizing the rapid growth of the e-cigarette market, KT & G also claimed that it left the company because it forced voluntary retirement in 2010 while releasing products based on former researcher Kwak's technology.
