[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Stage X, selected as the fourth mobile carrier, has paid 430 billion won to the government for the first bid for the 5G 28GHz frequency, which amounts to 10% of the final bid price of 4.301 trillion won, marking the start of the formal procedures for its launch.

Along with the 430 billion won, Stage X has submitted the necessary documents to the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Once the ministry reviews the documents and deems them appropriate and completes the frequency allocation process, Stage X will officially launch as the fourth mobile carrier, following SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus.

Stage X also announced plans to finalize its registration as a telecommunications service provider soon.
