Wemade Ordered to Pay KRW 9.9 Billion in Damages Following Shareholder Lawsuit

[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, August 25, 2025 — Wemade Co., Ltd. announced on August 25 that a court has ruled in favor of plaintiffs in a damages lawsuit filed by 27 individuals, including Mr. Kwon, against the company.



According to the ruling, Wemade is required to pay a total of KRW 7.7 billion to 21 plaintiffs, along with interest calculated at an annual rate of 12% from August 10, 2025, until full repayment. The court also ordered the company to pay an additional KRW 2.1 billion to the remaining seven plaintiffs, with interest accruing at 5% annually from August 10 to August 22, 2025, and 12% annually thereafter until full repayment.


The total liability amounts to approximately KRW 9.9 billion, equivalent to about 1.2% of Wemade’s equity capital. The court dismissed the plaintiffs’ other claims.
