[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Daewoo Construction has announced the implementation of a voluntary retirement program for the next two weeks, along with significantly improved benefits for those opting for voluntary retirement.

According to Daewoo Construction on the 7th, they have announced through internal notices that they will be implementing a voluntary retirement program.

The target group for voluntary retirement includes long-term employees with significant seniority. Previously, only a retirement consolation payment equivalent to a maximum of 22 months' salary was provided. However, in this voluntary retirement program, an additional special consolation payment of 20 million won has been added.

Employees with children who are university students or younger will receive educational support of up to 10 million won, allowing them to receive a maximum of 30 million won. It is explained that the establishment of the special consolation payment through labor-management agreement aims to expand voluntary mobility opportunities.

The retirement consolation payment and special consolation payment resulting from voluntary retirement will be reflected in the current profit and loss statement.

In addition to the voluntary retirement program, Daewoo Construction is also offering re-employment support services for employees nearing retirement or retirement age to address issues related to aging and the highly-ranked personnel structure.
