[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport on the 25th, Kia has begun a voluntary recall for 210,283 units of the K5 and another model due to insufficient durability of the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) since the 22nd.

Additionally, 1,986 units of the Kia Niro EV are being recalled from the previous day due to manufacturing defects in the high-voltage battery power shutoff device.

Starting on the 30th, Hyundai will initiate recalls for 178,489 units of three models, including the Tucson, also due to insufficient HECU durability. On the 31st, 3,142 units of the GV80 and another model will be recalled due to design errors in the electric side steps.

Starting on the 26th, 22,072 units of the Tesla Model Y will be subject to recall due to non-compliance with safety standards for lighting installation.

Volkswagen will recall 5,341 units of five models, including the A3 40 TFSI, starting on the 26th due to fuel pump manufacturing defects.

Audi began recalling 833 units of the e-tron 55 quattro from the previous day due to manufacturing defects in the high-voltage battery modules.

Toyota will recall 5,559 units of 13 models, including the ES300h, starting on the same day due to welding defects in the front and rear cameras. Additionally, 2,829 units of four models, including the NX350h, will be recalled due to software errors in the front recognition cameras.

Vehicle owners can check if their vehicle is subject to a recall and get detailed information about the defects by entering their vehicle's registration number and chassis number on the Car Recall Center website.
