[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] NH Investment & Securities expects concrete results from new businesses in the second half of the year for NAVER and maintains a "buy" investment recommendation with a target price of 285,000 won. The closing price on the previous day was 172,700 won.

NH Investment & Securities stated, "NAVER is pursuing various challenges for new growth, such as the redesign of the homepage feed, responding to the short-form market through Clips, challenging the personal streaming market with ZIGZAG, entering the global content market through the listing of NAVER Webtoon, turnaround in the profit and loss of FASHIONIQ, advancement of SNOW, and expanding business models using artificial intelligence (AI)." They added, "We can expect specific results from these businesses in the second half of the year."

The current stock price is considered to have fallen excessively compared to earnings. NH Investment & Securities pointed out, "The sentiment, which was gradually recovering after the announcement of the first-quarter results, has deteriorated again due to the spread of the LINE-Yahoo stake sale issue to political conflicts between Korea and Japan, and the interest in the internet sector in the stock market is still low. With these setbacks factored in, the stock price has fallen excessively."
