[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver Corporation announced on the 10th that it achieved record-breaking performance in Q3, with revenues of 2.7156 trillion won, adjusted EBITDA of 699.1 billion won, and operating profit of 525.3 billion won.
The company's Q3 consolidated revenue grew by 11.1% year-on-year and 4.0% quarter-on-quarter, driven by strong performance in its search and advertising businesses. Adjusted EBITDA saw a 27.0% increase year-on-year and a 9.5% increase from the previous quarter, totaling 699.1 billion won, marking an eighth consecutive quarter of growth. Operating profit hit a record 525.3 billion won, up 38.2% from last year and 11.1% from the previous quarter. The operating margin improved by 3.8 percentage points year-on-year, reaching 19.3%.
By business segment, revenue was as follows: Search Platform at 997.7 billion won, Commerce at 725.4 billion won, Fintech at 385.1 billion won, Content at 462.8 billion won, and Cloud at 144.6 billion won.
Search Platform revenue increased by 11.0% year-on-year and 2.0% quarter-on-quarter to 997.7 billion won, thanks to the growth of short-form and feed services, expanded ad space, and improvements in advertising products and targeting. This marked the return of double-digit growth in Search Platform revenue after 10 quarters, driven by continued strengthening of platform competitiveness.
Commerce revenue reached 725.4 billion won, up 12.0% year-on-year and 0.9% from the previous quarter.
The growth was fueled by higher transaction volumes due to collaborations with brands, enhanced membership benefits, and improvements in delivery quality, as well as increased usage of brand solution packages and guaranteed delivery services. Naver plans to continue strengthening its commerce competitiveness by offering users highly personalized shopping experiences and tailored benefits.
