[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On the 20th, News1 reported that Asiana Airlines flight OZ761 to Jakarta, Indonesia, was delayed after a report of smoke from the rear of the aircraft.

The incident occurred around 3:46 p.m. when the flight was preparing for takeoff from Incheon Airport. A nearby aircraft reported smoke coming from the rear of OZ761, prompting the flight to return to the gate for inspection.

It was later determined that the smoke was actually a type of mist caused by high heat from the engine, not a genuine emergency. Although the inspection found no issues, additional checks were performed on the hydraulic system. Passengers were disembarked, and the aircraft was replaced.

The hydraulic system is crucial for transmitting input values from the pilot to the aircraft. The flight, carrying 248 passengers, is now scheduled to depart again at 7:30 p.m., after a delay of approximately 4 hours.
