[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Kolmar Korea, a leading cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) company, announced on the 7th that it has introduced the "Packaged Product Service" (PPS), which will shorten the typical new product launch timeline by up to six months.

PPS allows customers to choose from a wide range of pre-developed cosmetic formulas and packaging options. This service significantly speeds up the manufacturing process, as customers can select their desired product features and have it produced quickly, without the lengthy development of new formulas.

Kolmar Korea has built a catalog of over 140 formulas across nine categories, including sun care, creams, lotions, essences, toners, facial packs, cleansers, cushions, bases, and makeup products. The company has also completed stability tests to ensure compatibility between the formulas and packaging.

By using PPS, the product launch time, which traditionally takes 9 to 12 months, can be reduced to 3 to 6 months. This streamlines the time-consuming steps in the development process, such as creating and testing new formulas and coordinating with partners.

Looking ahead, Kolmar plans to expand the range of formulas offered through PPS, including makeup lines, and further enhance its service by collaborating with its subsidiary, Yenu, a cosmetics packaging company. Kolmar Korea acquired Yenu in 2022 to strengthen its competitive edge in the global K-beauty market.
