Prosecution Raids Former Namyang Dairy Chairman Hong Won-sik Over Allegations of 20 Billion KRW Embezzlement

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The prosecution launched a raid on former Namyang Dairy chairman Hong Won-sik on the morning of the 7th, in connection with allegations of violations of the Specific Economic Crimes Act.


According to legal sources on the 7th, the Fair Trade Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Kim Yong-sik, began searching Hong's residence and over ten locations, including Namyang Dairy's offices.

Previously, in August, Namyang Dairy announced that it had filed a complaint against Hong and three former executives for embezzlement and bribery under the Specific Economic Crimes Act. The company suspects that Hong and others embezzled approximately 20.1223 billion KRW.
