[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Hyundai Pharm is facing significant operational disruption as its internal IT system outage has continued for over a week, causing widespread confusion among hospitals and pharmacies.
According to industry sources on April 8, the system failure began on April 2 and remains unresolved, halting critical functions such as order processing, shipment management, and transaction tracking.
Despite the prolonged outage, the company has yet to provide clear guidance on the cause of the issue or a timeline for recovery. A company official stated that pharmacy and hospital transaction records are currently inaccessible, effectively paralyzing operations.
Field sales representatives are bearing the brunt of the disruption, facing mounting complaints from clients regarding delayed deliveries, product returns, and account approvals.
Concerns are also growing over potential delays in commission settlements for contract sales organizations (CSOs), which rely on order and shipment data to calculate performance-based fees. Prolonged system failure could disrupt data aggregation, leading to payment delays.
Hyundai Pharm has acknowledged the system issue but has declined to comment further on its cause or recovery plans, raising uncertainty as the disruption continues.
