Kakao Mobility will introduce 'NEMO ride', an autonomous driving service in Jeju Island.

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kakao Mobility will collaborate with autonomous driving technology startups RideFlux and Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) to showcase its autonomous driving service "Square Ride" in Jeju High-tech Complex.

The NEMO ride service runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays in an area of a total of 11.7km near the Jeju Advanced Science and Technology National Industrial Complex and Jeju High-tech Road. Install the "NEMO ride" app and set up the starting point, destination and number of passengers to get the autonomous vehicle to where it wants. There is no extra charge.

RideFlux is responsible for developing autonomous driving SW (software) and vehicle operation, and Kakao Mobility is responsible for developing autonomous driving service call platform and operating infrastructure.
