[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Coca-Cola Beverage, responsible for the production and distribution of Coca-Cola in South Korea, has launched a voluntary retirement program last month.
According to industry sources on the 16th, the program targeted employees working in sales and logistics who were born before 1971.
The company is offering a lump sum payment of up to two years' worth of base salary, based on the employee's age, and will also provide support for up to four semesters of children's education expenses.
Coca-Cola Beverage is a subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care's beverage division. This is the first voluntary retirement program since the company was acquired by LG Household & Health Care in 2007, marking 17 years since the last such initiative.
