Korea Electric Power Corporation Secures Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant Projects in Saudi Arabia

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced on November 28 that it has signed contracts for two gas combined cycle power plant projects, Ruma 1 and Nairiyah 1, in Saudi Arabia. The contract is for a 25-year period, lasting until May 31, 2053.

The revenue generated from these contracts is expected to amount to approximately $1.474 billion for the Ruma 1 project and $1.5 billion for the Nairiyah 1 project, based on KEPCO’s stake in each. In total, the company is projected to generate around 4 trillion won in revenue from these projects.
