[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Mirae Asset Life Insurance, Nonghyup Life Insurance and DB Life Insurance were sanctioned by the Financial Supervisory Service for failing to comply with their obligation to explain when they signed insurance contracts such as variable insurance and life insurance.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 22nd, Mirae Asset Life Insurance did not explain important matters to the policyholder because it did not properly manage the contact information of policyholders when signing insurance contracts for 236 variable insurances with a premium income of more than 3 billion won from October 2017 to May 2022.

It was subject to sanctions such as a fine of 281 million won, a fine of 100 million won and a request for self-handling of executives and employees for violating the duty of explanation, such as not explaining the important matters set at the conclusion of the insurance contract to the policyholder.
