[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics will deliver 200,000 'MACH-1', an artificial intelligence accelerator (semiconductor package specialized in AI learning and reasoning) that is being developed by Samsung Electronics, to Naver by the end of the year. MACH-1 is a product that was surprisingly unveiled by Kyung Joo-hyun, head of Samsung Electronics' DS (Device) division, at a shareholders' meeting on the 20th, and Naver's delivery amount is worth KRW 1 trillion.

Naver plans to replace NVIDIA's AI accelerator by putting MACH-1 into servers for AI inference (using AI models for services). Samsung Electronics has taken advantage of Naver's delivery to target big tech such as Microsoft (MS) and Meta.

According to the semiconductor industry on the 21st, Samsung Electronics' System LSI division will deliver MACH-1 to Naver at the end of the year and adjust prices and quantities.

As Naver wants between 150,000 and 200,000 units, Samsung Electronics' delivery is expected to reach up to 1 trillion won. Samsung Electronics recently launched Mach 1 sales and marketing for MS and Meta.
