[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, has shared a selfie taken with Lee Jae-myung and Narendra Modi during the Korean president’s state visit to India.
According to Samsung Electronics on April 20, Lee attended a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Modi, held in conjunction with President Lee’s official visit. During the event, the three leaders took a selfie using the company’s latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Flip7, which is produced at Samsung’s manufacturing facility in Noida, India.
Samsung Electronics has operated a mobile production line in Noida since 1996, laying the foundation for its localization strategy in the country. The facility now manufactures the company’s full lineup of smartphones, including flagship foldable models and mass-market devices.
The company is focusing on strengthening its Noida plant as a global production hub, aiming to reinforce its position in India’s rapidly growing domestic smartphone market.
