[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] AI-related stocks showed strong performance during trading on the 27th, with Naver (035420) surpassing 200,000 won for the first time in nine months, driven by its AI-powered advertising and commerce results.

According to the Korea Exchange, Naver closed at 203,000 won, up 7,400 won (3.78%) from the previous day. This marks the first time the stock has exceeded 200,000 won since February, with the closing price reaching its highest point since February 28 (204,000 won).

Naver's recent recovery, following a dip in July during the "LINE incident," is attributed to improved performance in its AI-integrated advertising and commerce sectors. These advancements suggest a sustained improvement in earnings.

SK Securities commented, “Starting in 2025, Naver plans to expand the application of AI technologies across search, places, content, and shopping while enhancing integration between services to drive monetization. If successfully implemented, this could alleviate the concerns over revenue growth that have weighed on the stock for the past 1-2 years.”

Additionally, the passage of the "AI Framework Act" during a plenary session of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee is believed to have bolstered investor confidence in AI-related stocks.
