CJ Group Appoints Sun-ho Lee to Lead Future Growth Strategy at Holding Company

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, August 26, 2025 — CJ Group announced today that Sun-ho Lee, eldest son of CJ Group Chairman Lee Jay-hyun and current Head of the Food Growth Division at CJ CheilJedang, will assume a new leadership role at the holding company CJ beginning in September. Lee will head the newly established Future Strategy Office, where he will oversee the group’s efforts to identify new growth engines and expand into future-oriented businesses.



According to CJ Group, the Future Strategy Office is a dedicated unit responsible for planning the group’s next-generation businesses and formulating its long-term vision. The office will focus on building a strategic framework that ensures CJ Group’s sustainable growth over the long term.



Sun-ho Lee is the eldest son of Chairman Lee Jay-hyun and is widely regarded as a strong candidate to carry forward group leadership alongside his sister, Kyung-hoo Lee, who currently serves as Head of Brand Strategy at CJ ENM. Born in 1990, Lee studied Financial Economics at Columbia University in the United States. 

 

 

Since joining CJ CheilJedang in 2013 through open recruitment, he has gained extensive management expertise in business operations, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions. In 2021, as Head of Global Business, he played a pivotal role in strengthening CJ’s flagship brand “bibigo,” including forming a high-profile marketing partnership with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers.
