[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Taihan Cable & Solution said on the 6th that it will supply Balfour Beatty, a global infrastructure group, with ultra-high-pressure power grids.

The total amount is about $ 38 million, a project to build a new 132kV-class ultra-high-voltage power grid in northern England. It seeks to stabilize power supply and expand transmission capacity by changing old processing lines to underground lines.

Taihan Cable&Solution signed a business agreement (MOU) with Balfour Beatty in November last year and has been working together. As part of the MOU, the two companies will jointly participate in the bidding for the 220,000-pound (about $ 280 million) transmission network project in the UK by 2030, and cooperate in technology sharing and product development.

Taihan Cable&Solution made its first achievement by signing a $27 million 400kV ultra-high-pressure power grid project shortly after MOU with Balfour Beatty. The project is the second achievement since then, and the two companies will continue to find business opportunities and expand the market through close cooperation in the future.

Balfour Beatty is a UK-based global infrastructure group, a large company with annual sales of 15 trillion won. Taihan Cable & Solution is carrying out EPC (design, procurement and construction) for large-scale power grid projects, including the London Power Tunnels 2 (LPT2) project, which supplies all 400kV-level power grids.
