[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] IBK Investment & Securities analyzed that there is a possibility that Lotte Holdings will improve its operating performance through full-fledged effects of improving its constitution, securing growth through new businesses, and expanding its stake ratio. The investment opinion was 'buy' and the target stock price was 47,000 won. Lotte Holdings closed at 29,950 won the previous trading day.

"Starting with Lotte Mart, we have sought offline efficiency such as supermarkets, Lotte Hi-Mart, Lotte Cinema and GRS," Lotte said. "We are believed to have succeeded in settling our business unit by overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic crisis."

"Although it is regrettable that the earnings of some business units, including Chemical, continue to be sluggish, we believe that the improvement of the group's corporate structure is in full swing considering the rebound in the performance of distribution and food-related companies," Lotte said. "In addition, the growth of the new business division is also drawing attention. In the case of Lotte Information and Communication, rapid growth is taking place due to the volume of group companies and the expansion of new businesses."
