[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Broadcast equipment manufacturer and KOSDAQ-listed company Vidente has been flagged by financial authorities for publishing financial statements that violated accounting standards.

On the 6th, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), under the Financial Services Commission, held a regular meeting and decided to notify the prosecution regarding Vidente’s violations. Additionally, Vidente will be subject to a three-year designation of an external auditor and a fine, the amount of which will be finalized by the Financial Services Commission.

Vidente was found to have omitted KRW 80 billion in related-party debt from its 2021 financial statements and failed to properly record certain derivatives liabilities.
