[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] The Fair Trade Commission will look into whether Chinese e-commerce company Temu violates domestic laws.
According to the Fair Trade Commission on the 8th, the Fair Trade Commission launched a written investigation to see if Temu violated the Electronic Commerce Act and the Display Advertising Act.
Under the Electronic Commerce Act, a telecommunications distributor is obliged to notify consumers of the price of goods, when to supply them, exchange, return and guarantee, and conditions for payment of compensation due to delays in refunds and refunds.
Under the Act on Labeled Advertising, a business operator shall not mix false or exaggerated, or display or advertise deceptively.
The FTC will look into whether Temu has complied with such domestic laws.
As the domestic Temu corporation has not yet entered full-fledged activities, it plans to conduct a written investigation first instead of on-site investigation. If the written investigation is insufficient, we plan to conduct an on-site investigation.
