[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] The stock prices of companies that recently transitioned from the KOSDAQ market to the KOSPI market have been underperforming. While these companies often see a surge in stock prices prior to the move, driven by expectations of passive fund inflows, their stocks tend to decline once the move is complete.

According to the Korea Exchange on December 5, a total of six companies have moved from KOSDAQ to KOSPI in the past two years, with five of them experiencing a drop in stock prices after the transition.

The biggest decline occurred with POSCO DX. After its move to KOSPI on January 2 this year, its stock price plummeted by 73.27%, falling from ₩74,200 to ₩19,830.

Other companies that experienced declines include L&F and Paradise. L&F, which moved to KOSPI on January 29, saw its stock price fall by 40.27%, from ₩159,400 to ₩95,200. Paradise, which transitioned earlier at ₩14,860, is now trading below ₩10,000 at ₩9,990.

BH also saw a significant drop of around 45%, from ₩28,400 to ₩15,490. Meanwhile, NICE Information Service experienced a small decline, from ₩12,000 to ₩11,990.

The situation surrounding EcoPro BM, which is in the final stages of transitioning from KOSDAQ to KOSPI, has drawn attention, with investors wondering if it will follow a similar trend or show a different performance.
