[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Major Korean big tech companies and startups shared ways to cooperate with global digital tech companies in Seoul under the theme of digital technology progress and democracy.
The Korea Business Association (KEF) announced on the afternoon of the 17th that it held a Global Digital Network Meeting in collaboration with the American Democracy Fund (NED) at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The meeting was an eve event organized ahead of the "third democratic summit" to open in South Korea on the 18th, and was attended by major South Korean and U.S. digital tech companies, including Samsung, Naver, Kakao, Microsoft (MS) and Meta.
The meeting was held in the order of panel discussions and dinners focusing on digital technology and democracy, including artificial intelligence (AI).
The meeting was attended by some 70 people, including representatives from 10 digital tech startups at home and abroad, as well as major domestic and foreign IT companies, and foreign government officials, including the United States, the European Union (EU) and the Netherlands.
