The signing ceremony took place on September 14 (local time) at the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office.

Once completed, the facility will be capable of producing up to 5 million barrels of water per day.

The treated water will be supplied to major Iraqi oil fields, including West Qurna and Rumaila in southern Basra, to support enhanced crude oil production.
