Korea Exchange Signs Market-Making Agreements with Nine Securities Firms for 2024

[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] The Korea Exchange (KRX) announced on Monday that it has signed market-making agreements with a total of nine securities firms for next year in order to enhance price discovery and liquidity in the stock market.

The nine securities firms include Mirae Asset Securities, NH Investment & Securities, Meritz Securities, Kyobo Securities, Daol Investment & Securities, LS Securities, IMC Securities, Shin Young Securities, and CLSA.

The member firms will submit bid and ask prices for the designated stocks throughout the year to provide liquidity.

Next year, the number of stocks under market-making agreements in the KOSPI (Korea Composite Stock Price Index) market will increase by 1% to 313 from 309 this year. In the KOSDAQ market, the number of stocks covered will increase by 8% to 410, compared to 381 this year.
