[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Ador, a subsidiary of HYBE, has filed for an injunction to prevent NewJeans, who recently declared the termination of their exclusive contract, from independently entering advertising agreements.

According to Ador on Monday, the company submitted a request for a "Preservation of Agency Status and Prohibition on Entering Advertising Agreements" to the Seoul Central District Court last week against the members of NewJeans.

Previously, on December 3 of last year, Ador filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract. This injunction aims to maintain Ador's status as NewJeans' agency and prevent the group from signing independent advertising contracts or engaging in promotional activities without Ador's approval until the court's ruling on the contract's validity.

Ador explained that the injunction was necessary as NewJeans members, who unilaterally declared the termination of their exclusive contract, have been attempting to establish advertising deals independently, causing confusion and potential harm to advertisers and third parties.

Given the potentially lengthy period before the court issues its final ruling on the exclusive contract, Ador stated that the injunction was filed to urgently address the ongoing confusion and prevent further complications.
