[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] SK Telecom has decided to sell three subsidiaries, including SK Communications, F&U Credit Information, and the welfare platform company SK M&Services, to Samgoo I&C in order to concentrate its resources on its core businesses.

According to the telecommunications industry on Thursday, SK Telecom will sell either partial or full stakes in these companies, though the specific details of the sale have not been disclosed.

A representative from SK Telecom stated, "We are selling these subsidiaries to focus on our telecommunications and AI businesses. Even after the sale, we plan to continue business collaborations with the three companies."

Samgoo I&C reportedly acquired these companies to strengthen its market dominance and competitiveness.

In October, SK Group began the process of selling SK Communications and selecting a lead manager for the deal. SK Communications, once well-known for services like Cyworld, Nate, and NateOn, has struggled in the mobile era, recording an operating loss of over 8.6 billion won last year.
