[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, August 28, 2025 — Ourhome, now part of the Hanwha Group, announced that it will acquire the catering division of Shinsegae Food, strengthening its position in South Korea’s group meal services market.
According to a regulatory filing on August 28, Shinsegae Food signed an agreement to transfer its catering business unit to Ourhome subsidiary Gomed Galleria for KRW 120 billion (approx. USD 87 million). The deal covers 100% of Shinsegae Food’s group catering operations, including contracts with industrial sites and office complexes.
Shinsegae Food plans to hold an extraordinary general shareholders’ meeting on October 15 to approve the transaction.
Shinsegae Food is currently ranked fifth in Korea’s group catering market.
