LG Uplus Reports 13.5% Drop in Operating Profit for 2024, Net Profit Plunges 44%

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] LG Uplus announced on Monday that its consolidated operating profit for the previous year was tentatively estimated at 863.1 billion KRW, a 13.5% decrease compared to 2023.

Revenue grew 1.8% during the same period, reaching 14.6252 trillion KRW.

Net profit for the year stood at 352.9 billion KRW, marking a sharp 44% decline from the 630.2 billion KRW recorded the previous year.

Profit from continuing operations before tax, after deducting non-operating expenses, was 488.9 billion KRW, down 36.6%.

The term "impairment loss" refers to the recognition of an accounting loss when the current value (recoverable amount) of an asset falls below its book value.
