[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Hanwha Solutions is accelerating balance sheet improvements by monetizing Advanced Manufacturing Production Credits (AMPC) generated from its U.S. solar operations.

The company announced on May 21 that it recently sold approximately KRW 200 billion ($130 million) worth of AMPC it received last year, with plans to continue early monetization to enhance liquidity.

AMPC provides tax credits for solar products manufactured in the U.S. Hanwha Solutions receives about $0.07 per watt for modules produced at its Georgia facilities in Dalton and Cartersville.

From 2023 to 2025, the company secured a total of KRW 1.3 trillion in AMPC and has already sold KRW 1.13 trillion worth, including the latest transaction. Negotiations are ongoing to sell remaining 2025 credits by mid-year.

With expanding North American production, including its “Solar Hub” project, Hanwha expects annual AMPC benefits to exceed KRW 1 trillion, reinforcing its financial stability and market credibility.
