Italian Fashion Icon Giorgio Armani Passes Away at 91

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Milan – Giorgio Armani, the renowned Italian fashion designer, passed away on September 4 (local time) at the age of 91, the luxury brand Giorgio Armani announced.



Armani co-founded his eponymous brand in 1975 with his business partner and close friend, Sergio Galeotti.



The Associated Press (AP) described Armani as a “master of Milanese ready-to-wear,” crediting him with revolutionizing the fashion industry through his unstructured designs that broke away from convention.
