[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on May 19 that its 2025 OLED TV has received NVIDIA’s G-SYNC Compatible certification. This comes on the heels of the TV industry’s first AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification, further solidifying Samsung’s position as a provider of top-tier gaming display solutions.
Both G-SYNC Compatibility and FreeSync Premium Pro are technologies that synchronize the TV’s refresh rate with the frame rate output of the graphics card. These features significantly reduce screen tearing and stuttering—critical factors for gamers when choosing a display.
Samsung’s OLED TVs also come equipped with a suite of features designed to enhance the gaming experience. These include:
AI Auto Game Mode, which optimizes picture and sound settings based on game content,
Game Bar for real-time adjustment of game settings,
Motion Accelerator supporting up to a 165Hz refresh rate, and
Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for reduced input lag.
Samsung’s increased focus on gaming TVs is backed by strong market growth projections. While the global TV market is expected to shrink at an average rate of 0.29% annually through 2029, the gaming TV segment is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.3% through 2030, according to market research firm Statista.
