[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] KOLMAR KOREA has opened its second manufacturing facility in the United States, becoming the first Korean cosmetics company to directly establish production infrastructure in the U.S. This move completes its local full-category ODM (Original Development & Manufacturing) system in North America.
On July 16 (local time), KOLMAR held a dedication ceremony for its new "Kolmar USA Plant 2" in Scott Township, Pennsylvania. The facility spans 17,805 square meters and is equipped with advanced AI-powered quality monitoring and process optimization systems, with an annual production capacity of 120 million skincare and sun care products—two of the fastest-growing segments in the U.S. market.
Together with its first U.S. plant, which focuses on color cosmetics, KOLMAR can now produce up to 300 million units annually in the U.S.. Including its Canadian subsidiary, the company’s total North American capacity reaches 470 million units per year, making it the largest ODM manufacturer in the region.
Yoon Sang-hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Group, stated at the ceremony:
"With this second plant as a strategic base, we aim to build an innovation ecosystem with a diverse range of value chain partners and grow into North America's leading cosmetics manufacturing hub."
