[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Baek Jong-won, CEO of Theborn Korea, has announced his decision to suspend all broadcast activities to fully dedicate himself to his role as a business leader.

On May 6, Baek issued his third public apology via Theborn Korea’s official YouTube channel and a press release, stating that he will step away from his career in broadcasting to focus on managing the company.

Acknowledging responsibility for recent controversies surrounding product quality, hygiene issues, and alleged abusive behavior on set, Baek declared that this year would mark a “second founding year” for Theborn Korea.

Following the announcement of a KRW 5 billion (approximately USD 3.7 million) emergency support plan for franchisees on May 2, Baek also noted that he has been visiting stores in person to listen directly to franchise owners’ concerns.
