[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Kiwoom Securities experienced another trading system delay on June 20, marking its third such incident in two months, following back-to-back disruptions in April.
According to the financial investment industry on the 23rd, the latest issue occurred around 5:41–5:42 p.m. during after-hours trading. Both the mobile trading system (MTS) and home trading system (HTS) suffered delays, preventing some users from executing trades.
A Kiwoom Securities representative explained, “A momentary power disruption occurred in a redundant server, causing temporary instability for certain users.” The company apologized for the inconvenience and pledged to strengthen system stability going forward.
This incident comes after trading disruptions on April 3 and 4, when users experienced order execution delays and failures during market opening hours. Some affected customers have reportedly filed complaints with the brokerage.
