[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, April 21 – CJ Logistics’ construction division announced on Monday that it has secured the contract for the construction of Nongshim’s new logistics center in Ulsan’s Samnam district.

The upcoming facility, located at 1220-1, Sinhwa-ri, Samnam-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, will be built within the Ulsan Samnam Logistics Complex. It will feature a total floor area of 166,694 square meters—roughly the size of 23 soccer fields—and will span from one basement level to ten floors above ground. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2025 and be completed by May 2027, with a total timeline of 24 months.

The project site is strategically located near the Seoul-San Interchange (IC) on the Gyeongbu Expressway and is adjacent to Ulsan’s upcoming high-speed rail special development zone, boosting the potential for increased future logistics demand in the region.

CJ Logistics Construction stated that through this project, it plans to deepen collaboration with Nongshim and generate synergy while promoting mutual growth and sustainable partnership.

The company has an extensive track record in logistics center construction across South Korea, including projects in Gwangju, Pyeongtaek, Bucheon, Anseong, Hwaseong, Yongin, and Yangsan. Since 2018, CJ Logistics Construction has built or is currently building logistics facilities totaling a cumulative floor area of approximately 870,000 square meters—equivalent to about 121 soccer fields.

In addition, CJ Logistics holds multiple patents related to logistics center construction and operations. These include innovations in floor leveling and surface reinforcement, PC joint structural assembly, and safety design elements for workers and vehicles in logistics facilities.
