[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] A foreign woman who had been placed under a restraining order prohibiting contact with BTS member Jungkook was arrested again after causing a disturbance at his residence, police said.
According to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on January 4, a Brazilian woman in her 30s was arrested at around 2:50 p.m. on charges of violating South Korea’s Stalking Punishment Act. The suspect allegedly went to Jungkook’s detached home in Yongsan District and caused a disturbance by throwing mail in front of the residence.
The woman had previously been arrested twice in December last year after visiting Jungkook’s home. Following those incidents, Jungkook’s side reportedly requested and obtained a restraining order barring her from approaching the property. Police said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the latest incident.
This is not the first time Jungkook has experienced security incidents at his residence. In June last year, a Chinese woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted trespassing after repeatedly entering the door passcode on the day of Jungkook’s military discharge, though she later received a non-indictment disposition. In October, a Korean woman in her 40s was referred to prosecutors for unauthorized entry into the parking area of the residence. One month later, a Japanese woman in her 50s was booked for attempting to tamper with the home’s locking mechanism.
